Annapurna IV Expedition

Grade: Star
Duration: 43 days
Maximum Altitude: 7525 meters
Departure: Feb, Mar, Apr, Sep, Oct, Nov, Dec

Among the six major peaks in the Annapurna Massif, Annapurna IV ( 7525 m ) is one of them. Climbing this peak entails setting up three camps after the base camp to reach the summit. Despite risks of avalanches between camp I and II, Annapurna IV is a relatively easier climb among the various peaks in the Annapurna range. The base camp is two hours away from the base of the mountain, from where you are required to go up half a kilometer with the help of fixed rope to camp I. This is followed by similar climb of 1000 meters to reach camp II, the slope is now less steep and a roundabout route but a lot gentler, making it easier to reach camp III. We then ascend right to the summit from camp III.

The thrill and excitement of climbing mountains are not just confined to the actual climbing itself, but also the approach trek to the peaks, enabling to sample the diverse mountain life, terrain, and varied flora and fauna and ethnicities. You will complete almost all of Annapurna Circuit Trek via Thorung La Pass after returning to Base Camp and on the return leg to Pokhara. On completing this mountaineering expedition, you will have successfully completed two wonderful feats; one of them is the mountaineering aspect and the other trekking through one of the world’s best-known trekking trails.
