Full day city tour: Highlights of the tour are Pashupatinath Temple (Situated at the edge of sacred Bagmati River, Pasupatinath temple is the revered temple for the Hindu devotees, dedicated to Lord Shiva), Boudhanath – the ancient enormous stupa, inducted in the UNESCO World Heritage Monument list, is considered to be one of the biggest in the world, situated just 8km east of Kathmandu. We then proceed to Bhaktapur – (often referred to as City of Devotees) which is rich in intriguing architectural temples, shrines like Lion gate, Golden Gate, and the palace of 55 windows. In the evening we drive to Balthali to enjoy the landscape and captivating mountain vista.

On this morning we drive back to Kathmandu and commence our tour with a visit to Budhanilkantha.This is a huge statue of Lord Vishnu, reclining on a bed of snakes located at the foothill of Shivapuri Hill, approx. 8km north of Kathmandu valley. We may also visit Nagi Gompa ( Monastery ) from where we can view the lush Kathmandu valley. We then drive to Swayambhunath Stupa. Swayambhunath is known round the world as the world’s oldest stupa and is considered to be more than 2000 years old. From here, we visit Kathmandu Durbar Square – historical former palace of Nepal. Here we get to see Kumari Temple home to the “Living Goddess” Kumari, Kasthamandap, etc. Drive back to hotel.

We start our full day city tour after breakfast. We drive to Patan – the city of rich art and architecture. This ancient and wondrous city is home to master craftsmen who produce the finest handicrafts. Here we can visit Krishna Temple, Patan Durbar with Royal Bath, Hiranya Varna Mahavir – a Buddhist Monastery. Then we proceed to Chapagaou – the perfect place to interact with local people, get an insight into their lifestyle and culture. Bungamati – typical Newari village, situated 5km south of Patan, surrounded by terraced rice fields and tightly clustered against a hilly slope. We will also visit Khokana Village. This village is renowned for manufacturing mustard oil at Karya Binakya which is a 20 minute walking distance from Khokana. Drive back to hotel in the evening.

Full day tour. On this day we visit Kirtipur which is situated on a hilltop. This city is presumed to have been established in the 12th century, the temple of Bagh Bhairava, Uma Meheswor, Chiancho Stupa are also located in the area. Dakshinkali is another prominent feature of this tour where we visit Dakshinkali Temple – a Hindu temple dedicated to the Hindu Goddess Kali – the Goddess of power where various religious ceremonies held almost on daily basis. Basically, in Dashain festival people sacrifice many animals in the name of Goddess Kali. Evening drive back to the hotel.
