This is definitely a 360 degree tour of the Kathmandu Valley and its surrounding settlements. You will experience the most authentic Newari culture and lifestyle and visit some of the premier temples and monasteries and stupas. You can marvel at the architectural wonders of Patan and Bhaktapur – two major districts with rich Newari culture, craftsmanship and architecture. The tour has been designed in such a way that certain aspects may be best observed up close and personal – thus, this may require you to hike on particular instances and on other occasions proceed by vehicle. You will also be ferried to prominent vantage points in the valley to witness the spectacular sunrise on the Himalayan peaks and also interact with the locals in quaint villages that dot the rim of the valley.


Day 01: Arrive Kathmandu.

You will be received at Kathmandu airport and transferred to hotel.
Overnight at hotel, inclusive of breakfast.


Day 02: Kathmandu – Changunarayan and hiking to Nagarkot.

After a hearty breakfast, we set an easy excursion to Changunarayan. We will pay a visit to Changunarayan Temple- one of the oldest temples believed to be built in the 4th century. We then hike up to Nagarkot. This is premier place to observe the sunset and sunrise view along with the stunning peaks of Manaslu, Ganesh, Langtang, Gaurishanker and many more.

Day 03: Drive to Khopasi via Bhaktapur, then easy walking to Balthali.

Early in the morning, we will be treated to a spectacular sunrise on the Himalayan peaks. After breakfast, we proceed to Bhaktapur – ( very often referred to as the City of Devotees) which is rich in captivating architectural temples, shrines like Lion gate, Golden Gate, and the palace of 55 windows. Then, we drive to Khopasi (30 k.m), and then proceed on foot for half an hour to Balthali.

Day 04: Drive back to Kathmandu (40 k.m drive to Kathmandu)

On the way back, we proceed on a Kathmandu city tour. The sites and places we visit are Pashupatinath Temple (Situated on the banks of the sacred Bagmati River. Pasupatinath Temple is a highly revered temple for Hindu devotees and is primarily dedicated to Lord Shiva. Next we pay a visit to Boudhanath – the ancient colossal stupa. It is, listed in the UNESCO World Heritage Monument list and is one of the biggest in the world. It is located just 8km east of Kathmandu.

Day 05: Kathmandu – Kirtipur – Dakshinkali Tour

This day is a full day tour. On this day we visit Kirtipur which is located on a hilltop. This city is said to have been established in the 12th century. The temple of Bagh Bhairava, Uma Maheswor, Chiancho Stupa are also located in the area. Dakshinkali is another prominent aspect of this tour where we visit Dakshinkali Temple – a Hindu temple dedicated to the Hindu Goddess Kali – the Goddess of Power. Various religious ceremonies are held almost on a daily basis. During the Dashain festival various animal sacrifices are made to appease Goddess Kali. Evening drive back to hotel.

Day 06: Kathmandu – Patan – Chapagaou – Khokana Tour

On this day we visit Patan – the city of fine art and architecture. This ancient and wondrous city is home to skilled and master craftsmen whose work and crafts are on open display; Genuine Newari and Tibetan handicrafts can be purchased here . We can also visit Krishna Temple here, Patan Durbar with Royal Bath, Hiranya Varna Mahavir – a Buddhist Monastery. Then we proceed to Chapagaon – an ideal place to interact with local people, get an insight into their lifestyle and culture. Bungamati is a typical Newar village, located 5km south of Patan, surrounded by terraced rice fields and tightly clustered against a hilly slope. We will also visit Khokana Village. This village is famous for manufacturing mustard oil at a Karya Binakya which is 20 minute walking distance from Khokana. Evening drive back to hotel.

Day 07: Departure

After breakfast we transfer you to Airport for your onward destination.
