This short tour incorporates seven nights visiting some of the most prominent temples and monasteries in Tibet. Begin with a few days in and around the Kathmandu before flying off to Lhasa where there will be time to see the iconic Potala Palace and Barkhor Square. Drive between Gyantse, Shigatse, and Tsetang, seeing the monasteries and ancient sites of each including the Samye Monastery. Although the journey between the destinations is long, the landscape of the Tibetan Plateau is spectacular, rugged and unlike anywhere else.
